Mid-year 2019 Update

6/29/2019

Hey everyone!

It's been a little while since I posted anything.  This year has been filled with a number of incredibly special experiences and adventures, and I've been meaning to put together a quick post with some pictures and highlights.  So far in 2019, here's what has happened:

  • Five tours under my name/with my trio, including two on the West Coast, one in the South, one in Canada/Northeast US and one in Japan!  These tours featured workshops and concerts at the University of Tampa, College of Charleston and UC-Santa Barbara, performances for multiple jazz societies, including the San Luis Obispo Jazz Society and the Coastal Jazz Association, shows at small intimate house concert venues and at concert halls with 250+ people, and much more.
  • I recorded tracks for my new album, Kites and Strings, which will be released in early 2020.  This is a new project entitled the "Nebula Project," which features a sextet of some of my favorite musicians in New York City, as well as me on piano and accordion.  I'm so excited to share this music once it is ready to be released!
  • Appearances as a sideman in some amazing venues, such as the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. (with Astrid Kuljanic), the Lancaster Cultural Arts Center (with Paul Sanwald Quartet) and the Side Door (with Curtis Lundy).  Astrid's show at the Kennedy Center can be live streamed at this link.
  • Regular appearances at Smalls/Mezzrow late night with Ben Zweig, as well as a monthly video game music jam session alongside Patrick Bartley.
  • Leader appearances in New York City at Mezzrow and the Kitano, as well as a whole bunch of awesome shows in New York and throughout the Northeast.

I'm so lucky to be able to travel the world with some of my favorite musicians and closest friends, and to have met so many supporters of the music whom I have befriended throughout my tours.  These people mean so much to be and make playing and performing on the road so worthwhile.  I can't wait to see you all again soon.  Thanks so much to all of you, and see you all in the second half of 2019!

Being able to travel with your friends and favorite musicians around the world is something that we must be proud of. I am happy to see that you finally got the chance to experience that. If that was me, I wouldn’t know what to do because you are with your favorite musicians. I don’t know if I will be impressed all the time or would just act normal because that is the right thing to do. Whatever you do, it will always be a right thing to be thankful. Plus the fact that you saw different parts of the world is such a nice experience!

Thank you so much for your enthusiasm! I'm definitely excited to receive the new hats, and I appreciate your well wishes. Whether they're for personal use, a special event, or for business purposes, getting new hats is always a fun experience. I'll be sure to enjoy wearing them and making the most out of each one. Thanks again for your kind words and support!
As of my last update in January 2024, I do not have real-time data on the current status of Money Well or its legitimacy. Therefore, I cannot confirm whether Money Well is legit or a scam, nor can I verify its exchange rate of 27 PHP to PayPal fast. It's essential to conduct your research and look for recent reviews or user experiences to determine the legitimacy of the platform before participating in any transactions. Additionally, be cautious of any potential red flags, such as unresponsive customer support, delayed payments, or suspicious requests for personal information.

Whether you're wearing them casually or for a special occasion, I hope they bring you joy and style. Blood orange essential oil is known for its vibrant, citrusy aroma and various potential benefits. It is believed to have uplifting and energizing properties, making it a popular choice for aromatherapy and diffusing. Additionally, blood orange essential oil may have antioxidant properties and can be used in skincare products for its refreshing scent and potential skin benefits. As with any essential oil, it's essential to dilute properly and perform a patch test before using it topically, especially if you have sensitive skin.

    ben Rosenblum

Award-winning New York City jazz pianist and accordionist Ben Rosenblum has been described as “mature beyond his years,” (Sea of Tranquility), an “impressive talent” (All About Jazz), who “caresses [the music] with the reverence it merits” (Downbeat Magazine). Since the release of his debut trio album, Instead (4 stars, Downbeat), Rosenblum has toured extensively with his trio and sextet throughout the United States, including multiple trips to the Northeast, Midwest, South and West Coast, and internationally  in Canada, Europe and Japan. He was a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall's Stern-Perelman Auditorium (with Reona Ito's New York Harmonic Band) and has appeared at prestigious venues throughout the world, including at the Appel Room at Lincoln Center, Kuumbwa Jazz Center, Ravinia, Himawari-No-Sato Concert Hall in Yokohama, Bird's Eye in  Basel and the Library of Congress. Rosenblum's second trio album in 2018, River City, was called “richly romantic” and “well-realized” by JAZZIZ Magazine, which featured the title track as part of their Best of Fall 2018 CD. Most recently, Rosenblum released his third album, Kites and Strings, which is the first to feature him on both piano and accordion alongside his new sextet, the Nebula Project. In 2020, the Nebula Project was voted runner-up for Best New Artist in JazzTimes' Readers' Poll. Rosenblum has been privileged to share the stage with many highly acclaimed jazz musicians, including extensive work with Curtis Lundy, Winard Harper, Deborah Davis and Chris Washburne, as well as appearances with Bobby Watson, Sean Jones, TS Monk, Warren Wolf, Eliot Zigmund, and many others. Rosenblum's musical interests also extend beyond jazz to include work in numerous world music scenes, including musical styles from Brazil, Peru, Croatia, Bulgaria, India, Ireland, Jewish traditions and more.
