Update on Progress

Hi everyone!  It's been a while since I have posted, so I just wanted to write an update about what has been happening in the past couple of months.

First, up until very recently, I have been playing every week with the incredible Curtis Lundy.  For those of you who don't know Curtis, you can learn more about him on his website here.  He is an amazing bass player who has played with so many jazz legends, and he has also been an extremely important mentor to me in my musical development.  It has been so much fun being able to play with him on such a regular basis.  I am not sure if the gig we have been playing together is going to continue in the future, but definitely check back in for further developments on my gigs with him.
Second, it has been a pleasure working with Ben Sutin's klezmer-jazz crossover project, Klazz-Ma-Tazz.  Our CD release event at Cornelia Street Cafe went amazingly well, and the event was reviewed favorably by RG Magazine.  To see the review, you can click here.  We are continuing to perform on a regular basis in the New York City area, including two upcoming gigs at the City Winery, and a couple of winter festival appearances to be announced, so definitely stop by!  If you would like to order a copy of our latest release, Tangibility, you can do so on Amazon or CD Baby.

Lastly, I am extremely excited to have been chosen as a semi-finalist at the American Jazz Pianist Competition in Melbourne, Florida!  This competition will take place from November 13-15.  For a complete schedule of events, visit their website.

Thanks for the continuing support, and I hope to see you at one of my upcoming gigs!  As always, for a complete list of upcoming events, visit the schedule tab above.
